Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC)! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Work with employees at all levels across the firm
- Involved in a variety of Payroll functions including:
- Oversee all aspects of payroll processing ensuring compliance with international, federal, state and local regulations
- Ensure compliance, stay up to date with federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
- Manage payroll team
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with Finance to provide year end workpapers and budget information
- Review general ledger to payroll reconciliations
- Vendor management
- Worker’s Compensation Audit – annual estimate and run annual audit
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance or related field preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations; Global payroll knowledge a plus
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager with 8+ years in payroll field
- Experience with the following is preferred: databases and reporting; payroll software; and multi-state tax (UKG Pro and Business Intelligence reporting preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Office, technically proficient with Excel
- Strong leadership skills managing a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and client service mentality
- High degree of professionalism with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent organization, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills
