Our Riverside, California (CA) office is looking for a Sr. Designer with 10+ years of experience to join our Development Services team!
Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Designer to join our residential team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for residential development projects. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, creativity, and collaboration with project teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Drafting:
- Develop detailed CAD drawings and designs for residential development projects, including site plans, subdivisions, grading plans, and utility layouts.
- Ensure drawings meet all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.

Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team throughout the design and review process.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) to produce high-quality design documents.

Quality Control:
- Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and designs.
- Coordinate with engineers and other team members to ensure design intent is accurately captured.

Project Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.

Mentorship:
- Mentor and train junior CAD designers and drafters on best practices and technical skills.
- Share knowledge and promote continuous improvement within the team.

Client Interaction:
- Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on design progress.
- Address any client concerns or design alterations as needed.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on residential development projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant CAD software.
- Strong understanding of residential development design standards and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
Salary Range
$110,000 to $130,000
