Overview
We are searching for a motivated and experienced Practice Builder to join our thriving team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our healthcare-focused practice. You will leverage your expertise, industry connections, and business development skills to expand our client base, lead high-impact projects, and mentor our talented team.
Responsibilities
- Client Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our healthcare practice. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Project Leadership: Manage and provide oversight for healthcare development projects from inception to completion. Project types include multi-acre hospital campuses as well as smaller medical office buildings and clinics. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
- Team Management: Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and continual learning by providing training opportunities in the office. Provide guidance and support to ensure professional growth and project success.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to identify potential opportunities for the practice. Adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Proposal Preparation: Lead the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to win new business and secure project opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other practice builders and teams across the company to leverage resources and expertise, ensuring comprehensive and innovative solutions for our clients. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and a Licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California. Any advanced degree or professional certifications (PMP, AIA,DBIA etc.) are a plus.
- 15 + years of experience, with at least 10 years working in healthcare planning, design, and construction, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and business development.
- HCAi/OSHPD and Behavioral Health/DHCS experience is required.
- Familiarity coordinating with project teams using 3D technologies such as Civil3D, Navisworks, and other BIM software is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders. Leverage existing relationships within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies, manage budgets, and achieve financial goals.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across various disciplines.
Base Salary Range
- $150,000 - $260,000
- Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
