Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, designing, and developing learning materials for face-to face, e-learning, and blended learning environments based on your knowledge of best practices and adult learning theory. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical, analytical, and project management skills to partner with internal and external clients to develop engaging and relevant content.
Develop various training deliverables, such as PowerPoint presentations, learning activities, assignments, assessments, eLearning courses, instructional videos, one-page job aids, etc.
Create instructor lesson plans, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
Able to observe/analyze training programs and processes for outcomes and feedback.
Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency per established quality control checklists and brand guidelines.
Create graphics and other visuals for training materials

Work in partnership and foster collaboration with other members within the firm to complete, maintain, and enhance training projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant post-graduate experience
Strong attention to detail

Basic to intermediate skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and various content authoring tools (including leveraging the use of sound AI prompts) used by the Instructional Design Team

Effectively balance time management and organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative environment
Domestic travel up to 5%
