Kimley-Horn is looking for a Video Production Intern to support our team in Richardson, Texas (TX)! This is not a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on video shoots.
  • Operate production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio).
  • Follow directions from producers and directors.
  • Set up and break down sets.
  • Assist with post-production and final deliverables.
  • Manage project timelines and organize media assets.
  • Engage in feedback sessions with your supervisor.
  • Collaborate across departments to capture stories.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute insights.
  • Maintain a positive, curious attitude.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Basic understanding of production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio) operation.
  • Basic knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.
  • Ability to operate on video shoots with on-site direction.
  • Creative problem-solving and adaptability on the fly.
  • Willingness to work on locations away from the office.
  • Ability to safely lift and handle 25-50lbs of production equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to adapt when plans change.
  • Organization and time-management abilities.

Preferred Skills (a Plus):

  • Experience with the Sony FX3 or Sony FX2.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects (motion graphics).
  • Familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.
  • Interest in animation or visual effects.
  • Experience creating social media video edits.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Audition and audio editing.
  • Typography.
