With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Job Description
Manages a Product Development Applications Engineering team responsible for the development, implementation of product applications and executing product demonstrations to customers for existing and pre-release products.
Manages projects related to new product introduction such as characterization, alpha testing, beta testing and pilot tools in the ramp phase. Sets up customer product demonstrations and technical training including on-site training of Field Applications Engineers and end users.
Works with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Publishes best known method documents, application notes and other training material, and ensures the transfer of product knowledge to Customer Engagement Applications teams.
Selects, hires, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Education & Experience
Ph.D. or Masters with 4-6 years, or Bachelors with 5-7 years experience one of which must be directly in integrated circuit manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering applications. Required at least 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience,
• Expertise in semiconductor process and process control testing techniques.
• Previous experience in evaluating and testing new application technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to foresee problems and purpose solutions prior to releasing any new application.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead special projects with corporate wide impact.
• Ability to set priorities and delegate tasks during critical situations where multiple issues must be handled simultaneously.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver projects using leading-edge technology and/or processes.
• Demonstrated skills in conceptualizing creative technical solutions, documenting them, and presenting them to management.
Minimum Qualifications
