Our team is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with precision machine design experience. In this role, you will lead the exciting mechanical design related to our cutting-edge EBeam systems and support current generation products.
The responsibility for this job will include:
• Lead the design of complex e-beam mechanical structures including precision mechanical components and subsystems
• Managing large assemblies and system layout using reference geometry
• Conduct requirement/concept design reviews to understand pros/cons. Be able to use different methods (analytical/numerical/experimental) to prove the feasibility. Closely connect with the vendors to understand the manufacture process/mechanisms/risks and make a meaningful choice.
• Use CAD software to deliver the part and assembly drawings. Use CAD/FEA software to do needed analysis.
• Choose/design proper tooling for manufacture/field support
• Drive part purchase, prototype assembly, system integration and qualification
• Work closely with manufacturing and field support engineers to create procedures and release the design.
• Collaborate closely with manufacture and FSE to drive the trouble-shooting process
Qualification desired:
• Be proficient in 3D solid modeling CAD. ProE/Creo preferred
• Basic FEA analysis through CAD software.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, fabrication methods.
• Experience in precision mechanical design/solid modeling/precision machining.
• Familiar with tolerance analysis/error budget assignment.
• Hands on experiences on mechanical part machining and assembly with proper tooling.
• Experience/knowledge in several of these areas is highly desirable: vacuum systems, high voltage application, thermal/cooling, vibration/damping, and contamination control.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Skill nice to have:
• Semiconductor capital equipment design experience
• Project management
• Ansys/COMSOL
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience OR
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience
