Job Description

KLA is looking for high-energy intern for several exciting projects in our Catania, Italy location.

This opportunity will be a gateway to the KLA world to start a ground-breaking journey with one of the industry's leading semiconductor equipment companies: you will have the chance to better understand the Company and the multiple roles within it!

Specifically, this position provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of sub-components for KLA’s inspection and metrology tools. In this role you will gain hands-on experience, collaborate with top industry professionals, and unlock endless possibilities for growth.

The candidate will have in charge to lead a project and propose a new infrastructure to support our Field organization with the tooling used to calibrate and align complex semiconductor equipments.

The scope of work will be:

• Make inventory of the actual Tooling on hands
• Identify where gaps are
• Propose tooling investment according to gaps and forecasted systems in the field
• Propose a new infrastructure: To centralize the tooling within a regional organization and to be able to easily manage the shipment and inventory of the tooling
• Propose a budgetary information to support this new infrastructure

In addition of the assignment, there will be a parallel path that will lead the intern to learn more about install and tool acceptance with the Field Application Engineer and the service world with the Customer Service Engineer.

Qualifications/Education Desired

The successful candidate should have taken classes in engineering. The candidate should have strong analytical capabilities, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. They must demonstrate perseverance and ability to work collaboratively with individuals across different functions and locations, as needed.
