Job Description
We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Central Engineering Group. The job requirement includes:
- Design opto-mechanical and mechanical parts, modules and subsystems to support the design of the next generation wafer inspection and metrology tools.
- Responsible for the complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, conducting various analysis, such as stress, thermal, fluid and vibration modeling, conceptual and detailed design, detailed drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, system integration, prototype testing and handoff to manufacturing.
- Work with other engineering groups such as Optics Engineers, Systems Engineers and Manufacturing/Serving Engineers to ensure flawless integration and test at the subsystem and system level.
- Develops the required supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures.
- Works closely with and manages suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and met.
- Addresses and resolves product issues thru the product phases.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Understand fundamentals of mechanical engineering, including design principles, tolerance, error budget, materials and machining process.
- Proficient with CAD software, SolidWorks or Creo are preferred.
- Have experience in one or more types of FEA analysis: stress, thermal, vibration and flow analysis.
- Strong problem analysis and solving skills.
- Good English communication skills. Willing to travel worldwide.
