Group/Division

The SensArray division is the world leading provider of in situ processing measurement and control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Our SensArray Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our dynamic group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modeling with COMSOL, particularly in heat transfer and structural mechanics modules. This role involves developing and optimizing thermal models for semiconductor process chambers and sensors under various conditions, including vacuum environments and plasma applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize COMSOL Multiphysics for modeling heat transfer and structural mechanics in semiconductor applications.
  • Develop and analyze thermal models for semiconductor chamber boundary conditions, including vacuum environments and plasma power scenarios.
  • Utilize mechanical design software (Creo or SolidWorks) to design and develop modeling, prototypes and test fixtures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize different chuck types and their thermal performance.
  • Responsible for conducting various tests and experiments on the prototypes and the final products.
  • Stay updated on semiconductor industry trends and technologies to inform product development strategies.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide insights based on modeling results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience/Skills:
    • Demonstrated hands on experience in product development within the semiconductor or adjacent industry.
    • Proficiency in COMSOL Multiphysics (or ANSYS), specifically in heat transfer and structural mechanics modules.
    • Proficiency in Creo (or SolidWorks) software to design and develop modeling, prototypes and test fixtures.
    • Strong understanding of thermal modeling in semiconductor chambers, including vacuum and plasma environments.
    • Familiarity with various chuck types and their thermal characteristics.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Proficient in technical documentation and reporting.
  • Education: Advanced degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years
