Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities
Enjoy developing skills for end-to-end software solutions, acquire knowledge of new technologies, and working with highly collaborative teams? A software engineering/Diagnostics data internship here will collaborate with domain experts to gather requirements, translate user needs to craft software specifications. In this role, you will work on one of the projects below:
As a software intern, you will:
- Join brainstorm discussions and understand the use cases of remote process call (RPC) needed for our software product.
- Design and implement the software to demonstrate the feasibility of RPC mechanism.
- Provide out-of-the-box idea for users' experience as well as deep dives into Windows OS.
Or,
As a diagnostics data intern, you will:
- Assist in crafting interactive dashboards and visualization to track and analyze system performance.
- Collaborate with experts and contribute to root cause analysis to understand and identify patterns for insightful conclusion.
- Experiment with data visualization tools and techniques to present data effectively.
Qualifications
- Knowledge in software communication protocols and Application Programming Interface (API).
- Excellent attention to detail, where you can demonstrate an ability to contribute to our software project.
- Possess high curiosity, be a fast learner, and have the strive to turn concept to software prototype to verify the idea.
- Experience on collaborating with diverse teams to implement data processing solution.
- Knowledge about databases, including but not limited to database management, SQL.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in MSc or PhD programs in one of, the following fields: Physical sciences, optics, computer science, image processing, data science.
- Hands-on experience with the following programming languages: Python, C++, C#, or LabVIEW.
