Job Description – Graduate Asset Based Finance Portfolio Analyst

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (“KKR”) is looking to hire a Graduate Analyst in its Asset Based Finance Portfolio team in Dublin.

KKR is one of the world’s largest and most successful investment firms with a 47-year track record of investment excellence, and now managing over $500bn globally.

The Portfolio Team was established in Dublin in 2016 to manage the trading performance of the firm’s global Private Credit portfolio and was expanded in 2019 to cover the newly launched Asset Based Finance strategy. The team is responsible for the ongoing oversight of portfolio transaction performance post investment including engagement with the origination platform management team, monitoring underlying asset performance, quantitative analysis, financial modelling and valuation. The team continues to grow with 6 investment professionals, having responsibility for over 60 transactions, operating across a wide range of industries, asset types and geographies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ongoing proactive performance monitoring of the structured credit / Asset Backed Finance portfolio, including servicer & originator dialogue

  • Cross-geographical exposure, covering US and EMEA deals

  • Ongoing dialogue with senior leadership of origination platform companies

  • Preparation of quarterly reviews and presentation to Investment Committee

  • Involvement in follow-on capital investing activity, including; commitment upsizing, refinancings via term loan market or securitization market, deal restructurings and exits

  • Collaboration with other teams across KKR, including Investor Relations, Risk and ESG in the creation of quarterly reporting, investor materials and other ad-hoc requests

  • Screening and approval of investment opportunities for lending platforms in the portfolio

The key attributes required from successful candidates are:

  • Strong academic background

  • Ability to learn quickly on the job and determination to upskill in new asset classes

  • Strong commercial awareness including interest in current global macro trends

  • A good understanding of key investment performance metrics

  • Active interest in financial markets and investing

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations to internal and external stakeholders
