Team Overview – Client and Product Services (CAPS)

The Client and Product Services Team (CAPS) is responsible for supporting KKR’s distribution and client retention efforts by strategically messaging and positioning the firm’s offerings through various information requests, such as RFPs and RFIs for existing clients and prospects, while developing high-impact content to complement the firm’s expanding offerings.

Position Overview

The Operational Due Diligence (ODD) Lead & Insurance Diligence Lead will coordinate and manage the firm’s operational due diligence process across institutional investors, consultants, and prospective clients.

This role will serve as a key point of coordination for operational due diligence inquiries, materials, and meetings, ensuring accurate and consistent communication of the firm’s operational infrastructure, governance, risk management, and controls.

The role will also lead the coordination and completion of firm-level operational due diligence questionnaires and help facilitate operational due diligence meetings with institutional clients and consultants.

In addition, this role will support diligence coverage for the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance investment solutions, including leading the preparation and coordination of RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs related to insurance-focused strategies.

Major Responsibilities / Activities

  • Lead and coordinate the firm’s operational due diligence process for institutional investors, consultants, and prospective clients.
  • Serve as the lead/host in operational due diligence meetings with institutional clients and investment consultants.
  • Coordinate with internal teams across Product, operations, compliance, legal, finance, technology, and investment teams to gather operational information.
  • Serve as the lead for operational due diligence requests and ensure timely, accurate, and consistent responses.
  • Maintain and complete firm-level operational due diligence questionnaires (ODDQs/DDQs).
  • Maintain and update operational due diligence materials including presentations, organizational charts, compliance summaries, and governance documentation.
  • Lead coordination of diligence materials for the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance investment solutions.
  • Prepare and coordinate RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs related to insurance-focused investment strategies.
  • Partner with insurance product specialists and other SMEs to ensure accurate diligence responses.
  • Maintain insurance-focused diligence materials including strategy overviews and operational documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline diligence processes and improve documentation management.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in due diligence/ RFP/RFI/DDQ execution and management, investor relations, operations, compliance, or related roles within asset management or financial services
  • Experience supporting institutional investor operational due diligence processes.
  • Experience working with institutional consultants and clients.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required (active or ability to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of institutional investor and consultant due diligence frameworks.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with DDQ databases, consultant platforms, and document management systems.

Beneficial Skills

  • Knowledge of the asset management industry, including alternatives (private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure).
  • Familiarity with operational risk frameworks used by institutional investors and consultants.
  • Experience with DDQ automation platforms and content management systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to asset managers.
  • Experience supporting insurance or insurance-funded investment strategies.
This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
Base Salary Range
$165,000$175,000 USD
