We are seeking an exceptional internal communications professional to join its Global Communications team, focused on shaping and elevating internal communications across the firm. This is a highly visible role at the center of KKR, partnering with senior leaders and teams to drive clarity, alignment, and engagement across a global employee base.
The candidate will play a key role in how KKR communicates internally at scale—bringing structure, judgment, and strong editorial instincts to complex topics, strategic priorities, and moments that matter. This individual will help ensure that employees not only understand what is happening across the firm, but why it matters and how it connects to KKR’s broader strategy.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer and trusted advisor, with the ability to operate seamlessly between strategy and execution. They are intellectually curious, highly collaborative, creative and bring a thoughtful point of view - contributing ideas, perspectives, and refinements that help strengthen and evolve the firm’s internal communications approach over time.
This role is based in KKR’s Boston office and reports into the Global Head of Internal Communications.

Base Salary Range
$140,000—$180,000 USD

Responsibilities
- Internal Communications Strategy & Content
- Write, edit, and shape high-quality internal communications for a global employee audience, including leadership messages, firmwide updates, and strategic initiatives.
- Translate complex business topics, investment activity, and organizational priorities into clear, concise, and engaging communications that can be cascaded throughout the organization.
- Contribute creative, channel-appropriate content ideas across formats
- Apply strong editorial judgment to ensure messaging is consistent with KKR’s voice, values, and culture.
- Strategic Partnership & Advisory
- Serve as a trusted communications partner to select teams and leaders, working closely with them to strengthen how they communicate internally.
- Advise stakeholders on messaging, tone, structure, and delivery to help elevate the quality and impact of their communications.
- Proactively identify opportunities where clearer or more thoughtful internal communications can improve understanding, alignment, or engagement.
- Bring a thoughtful point of view to communications, offering perspectives and recommendations that help refine and strengthen messaging approaches.
- Collaboration & Execution
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to ensure internal communications are aligned with broader firm priorities.
- Support the development of communications plans for key initiatives, milestones, and moments that matter to employees.
- Contribute to a cohesive internal communications program that connects employees across geographies, businesses, and functions.
- Editorial Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and promote internal communications best practices, guidelines, and standards.
- Bring a thoughtful, creative approach to storytelling and message development, continuously raising the bar for internal communications across the firm.
- Stay attuned to employee needs and feedback to help evolve how KKR communicates internally over time.
- 8+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications, including advising senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality content
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences
- Strong verbal communication skills and executive presence
- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically, owning communications from concept through execution
- Experience developing and executing communications plans tied to key business priorities or moments (e.g., strategic initiatives, organizational changes).
- A strong editorial mindset and a clear point of view on what makes internal communications effective.
- Sound judgment and discretion, with experience handling sensitive and confidential information
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and adaptable, with a willingness to take ownership and contribute across a lean team
- Experience working across global teams and time zones, effectively aligning stakeholders across regions
- Experience in financial services or another complex, highly regulated industry.
- Experience using internal communications platforms (e.g., Sharepoint, Poppulo or similar tools).
