KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate complex policy findings, both orally and in writing, in a narrative that resonates with internal and external stakeholders, including the client, health care providers, and internal team members
  • Provide communication support and technical assistance related to internal and external education on requirements and compliance expectations across federal healthcare programs
  • Utilize clinical expertise to ensure that materials are tailored to meet the needs of healthcare providers, consumers, and/or payors
  • Conduct regulatory research into federal healthcare program topics
  • Apply policy knowledge and clinical expertise to advise project teams in areas that need special consideration in their work
  • Serve as an internal resource to provide first-hand, direct knowledge of clinical practices, medical coding and billing processes

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience (e.g., clinical experience, health policy research/analysis, healthcare consulting); U.S. Federal government consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's from an accredited college/university; Master's degree preferred
  • Experience providing direct patient care as a healthcare provider and/or working closely with healthcare providers in a clinical setting
  • Working knowledge and implementation experience of regulatory enforcement and healthcare compliances associated with providers, payors, and hospitals
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management, including medical coding and billing process
  • Working knowledge of U.S. health policy and policy making processes, as well as federal health care programs, including VA/VHA, Medicare, Medicaid and/or the Marketplace
  • Qualitative research experience; including developing trainings, drafting presentations, policy briefs, technical memorandums, and final reports
  • Expertise in federal healthcare programs and operations, including Medicaid, Medicare, and/or Marketplace; strong understanding of related healthcare industry stakeholders; demonstrated ability to leverage health policy and industry knowledge to anticipate the impact that emerging health industry trends may have on federal programs
  • Knowledge and working experience in federal and state healthcare policy and programs, including regulatory tracking and analysis, healthcare industry and health policy topics for lay audiences, and serving as internal and/or external expert
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • Applicant must possess or be eligible for a U.S. Government clearance
