KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Ethics & Compliance Program Management & Governance to join our Ethics & Compliance team.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance and produce, in consultation with the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO, governance and oversight reporting to senior leadership as well as the Board of Directors regarding ethics and compliance risks to the firm and its people
- Support the documentation and socialization of the Ethics and Compliance strategic plan, including assisting as well as leading the team through change management preparation and execution
- Assist ongoing day-to-day management of Ethics and Compliance, such as facilitating team meetings, managing the calendar of responsibilities, deadlines, communications and reporting of the CECO and of the Ethics and Compliance function to meet internal and external obligations, including regulatory obligations
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination and reporting across multiple departments, such as the Office of General Counsel, Risk Management, Talent and Culture, Internal Audit, among others, designed to ensure that ethics and compliance activities across the firm are brought together to produce a comprehensive picture of KPMG's compliance risk profile
- Develop and track measurements to assess the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Ethics and Compliance function
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of recent experience developing and executing strategic plans, particularly in compliance, risk management and/or heavily regulated environments
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience in compliance program design or business, compliance or legal strategic operations, or another relevant field
- Experience leading or supporting organizational change and process improvement initiatives, managing large, cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment; demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers even without direct authority
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to set goals to achieve desired future outcomes, anticipate challenges, navigate complex situations, develop solutions as well as interpret and synthesize data to communicate data-driven conclusions; advanced organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, track progress on initiatives, and ensure timely completion of tasks
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage relationships across the team and the broader organizations, resolve conflicts and understand the needs and motivations of both senior leaders and team members; ability to work discretely and confidentially with sensitive information is a must
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist with the development of communications to all levels of the KPMG organization, including senior leaders and board members
