KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Specialist to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary / cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data analytics / machine learning solutions
  • Utilize processes and best practices to plan, lead, and execute delivery of data analytics / AI engagements
  • Work with clients / teams to discover data sources, create data requests, and collaborate with Data Engineers to develop / utilize ETL processes to ingest and enrich structured / unstructured data
  • Develop plans for automating and implementing the clean-up of data utilizing existing capabilities and/or developing new solutions
  • Perform explanatory data analyses, prepare / analyze historical data and identify patterns; Perform data analytics, create logical and physical data models that address business requirements
  • Develop complex dashboards and reproducible visualizations
  • Rapidly learn and understand client business processes by reviewing technical documents, business catalogs, and white papers
  • Contribute to developing dashboards, UI / interactive tools to support clients turn their data into actionable insights and reproducible reports

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of Data Modeling experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in developing data analytics solutions, machine learning models (predictive models, classification, cluster analysis, NLP etc.), simulation models (Discrete Event Simulation, System Dynamics Model, Agen Based Models), and optimization models (Linear Programming, NLP, Heuristics)
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R, Julia and their open-source packages/libraries
  • Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational databases such as: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Strong understanding of governance, controls, process and procedures, centers of competency, change management, conceptual data modeling, master data management, data standardization / stewardship, information integrity, compliance, and data quality management
  • Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
  • Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
