KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Category Management Lead - Software and SaaS to join our KPMG's Strategic Sourcing and Procurement team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholder to develop and execute category strategies as well as sourcing plans for on-premise software and cloud- based SaaS/platform technologies
- Lead cross-functional teams through the requirements gathering, sourcing, negotiations, contracting and supplier management processes
- Conduct all aspects of the sourcing and contractual/commercial negotiations with third parties for assigned scope in the software application/maintenance category
- Partner with various compliance functions, including legal, finance and accounting, independence, digital security, and risk, to ensure adherence with applicable policies, regulatory conditions, and achievement of favorable contractual terms
- Analyze supplier proposals, conduct objective evaluation, and prepare recommendations for senior management to facilitate supplier selection process
- Implement strategies to manage the supply base and drive continuous improvement for category scope, reviewing suppliers against contractual obligations/service level agreements (SLAs), assessing risk, and more
Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of recent experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within a large, progressive matrixed organization
- Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience; Master of Business Administration from an accredited college or university; other relevant degree/certification highly desirable
- Subject matter expert with proven track record of negotiating large, complex enterprise software deals with favorable terms and conditions for software license agreements
- Demonstrated analytical, financial, problem solving, organization, and project management skills to include stakeholder and meeting facilitation skills
- Highest ethical standards with a strong moral compass and a constant focus on doing what is right
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and influencing skills to effectively navigate a complex management and organization structure with a high degree of ambiguity
