KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Infrastructure operations to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Windows Server OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) across over 7,000 on-prem servers and over 2,500 cloud servers throughout their lifecycle; collaborate with teams across the Information Technology estate including project/application teams, capacity management and vulnerability remediation
- Provide leadership around architectural standards, process development, and strategy implementation for on-prem and cloud environments
- Lead and develop a team in systems administration, cloud operations, and DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), encompassing career growth and performance management
- Monitor, optimize, and secure hybrid environments, participating in disaster recovery exercises and adhering to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) standards for operations
- Drive organizational change through strategic leadership, presentations, and knowledge sharing on technology strategy and execution
Qualifications:
- Minimum ten years of recent experience leading teams of Windows Server OS (over 2012), Azure PaaS/IaaS, and Group Policy in large enterprise environments
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Proficiency in Active Directory, strong knowledge of Group Policy enforcement, PowerShell scripting, golden image creation for new OS/System builds and configuration management (BigFix, Ansible, System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, and more) and familiarity with Python preferred
- Extensive experience with Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), cloud-native architecture, cost optimization, and compliance frameworks (such as Service Organization Control two, ISO 27001)
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, databases (Oracle/MS SQL), web technologies, enterprise storage, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, and more); familiarity with monitoring tools (System Center Operations Manager, SolarWinds, and more), ITIL knowledge (ServiceNow) and disaster recovery solutions; Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills; proven ability to lead high-performing teams
