KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, Functional Practice Operations to join our Audit Resource Management organization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Unit (BU) Partner in Charge, and leadership team to develop strategic direction of the Business Unit and drive coordinated tactical action plans of the infrastructure/operational functions supporting the audit practice based on national audit practice strategic objectives and local changing business needs
- Monitor Audit Quality efforts by establishing and executing Audit Quality monitoring activities at the BU level, by liaising with the continuous improvement leadership to develop communication and monitoring activities and by monitoring BU usage of the overseas team including benchmarking activities and identifications of new opportunities to increase usage
- Align with Finance and Accounting Analyst to analyze key metrics of the client portfolio and identify opportunities for improvement in pricing and profitability and provide guidance to the Engagement Management Coordinator Management Consulting (MC) team to monitor investment balance, drive timely billing and collection and identify potential gains and losses on engagements

- Develop and drive communication plan and messaging around Business Unit strategic objectives and operational initiatives, including, but not limited to monthly leadership team meetings, partner and partner manager meetings and senior associate and associate meetings and other internal communications
- Work with engagement teams to serve as their delegate if backup support is needed from the Manager or Partner to liaison between the Risk Management team for BU Risk Management activities including but not limited to pursuits and proposal support
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of recent experience in one or more business related areas including finance, human resources, resource management, general business operations or client service delivery, preferably in audit
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience as a direct supervisor for a staff consisting of different professional levels
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance and strategic advice to executive level management across all practice operational areas
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook with basic knowledge or experience with Microsoft Access, Customer Relationship Databases and Resource Management/scheduling tools
- Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and negotiating skills required
