Job Description

KPMG’s National Technology in Deals team work at all stages of the deal lifecycle, buy or sell side, offering clients industry leading services in Technology Due Diligence, Technology Integration and Separation and Technology Value Creation.

We perform pre-deal diligence to post-deal execution and value creation, ensuring technology, digital, and cyber aspects are considered as part of the deal process.

Our team is growing, and we are looking for early career professionals (Analyst, Consultant, Senior Consultant or Manager levels) to join our teams to support and lead technology deal engagements, including:

  • Technology Due Diligence to objectively assess a target company’s technology footprint across applications, data, infrastructure, organisation, financials, resilience, and cyber security.
  • Technology integration / separation design, planning, and execution including:
  • Development of technology principles in line with business technology strategy.
  • Estimation of cost impact (e.g. synergies, standalone, one-off).
  • Design of interim and target state (e.g. Day 1, Day 2).
  • Identification and development of TSAs; and
  • Program mobilisation and execution.

Your Experience

  • Relevant experiences in scoping, planning, design and / or execution of Technology integration or separation programs.
  • Skills in areas such as:
    • Technology strategy, architecture, operating model, and tech stack design.
    • Technology financials; and
    • Technology program design, management, and execution.
  • Relevant experience in the scoping, planning, and delivery of Technology Diligence engagements.
  • Recent experience and current knowledge of technology across the tech stack, service delivery, technology resilience, cyber security, technology risk.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to allow you to present findings across different audiences, with an ability to distil complex issues into key messages.
  • A specialisation in a deal context would be advantageous (e.g. due diligence, integration / separation).
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage your time across multiple projects concurrently.
  • An ability to take initiative and deliver project milestones and tasks, autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Displaying the analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills relevant to the environment.
  • A desire to develop your career as a specialist advisor in the M&A environment.
