Job Description

Our Project and Program Delivery (PPD) team provides multi-disciplinary services to clients in mining, energy, and infrastructure, supporting all phases of the project lifecycle—from strategic engagements to specialist capability delivery.

We offer integrated project management services, establish and operate program management offices, deliver project controls expertise, and provide planning, design, contract compliance, and assurance advice. Our approach is grounded in data-driven tools and methodologies, delivering practical and reliable project support.

Your Opportunity

Due to continued growth and investment in the Perth market, our PPD team is expanding. We work closely with clients to support their strategic infrastructure investments, backed by a team with hands-on industry experience.

We are currently seeking professionals from project delivery or advisory backgrounds with experience in the following roles:

Project Estimators

  • Experience in cost estimating and/or quantity surveying for infrastructure projects, particularly in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and/or Building/Property disciplines.
  • Ability to develop, assess, and manage cost estimates.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard estimating, planning, and project management software.

Project Cost Engineers

  • Experience in developing and maintaining detailed project cost estimates and budgets.
  • Monitoring expenditures and ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Analysing cost variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Preparing cost reports and forecasts.
  • Developing cost control policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Project Planners & Schedulers

  • Experience in developing and managing detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera, MS Project, or similar.
  • Monitoring progress to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for schedule alignment.
  • Identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Supporting resource planning and preparing progress reports.

How Are You Extraordinary?

  • You bring experience in client-side or advisory project management, project controls, or delivery across infrastructure or capital-intensive industries.
  • You’re confident in managing key project elements such as cost, risk, planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • You can lead programs of work, manage risks, support procurement, and provide clear project updates to stakeholders.
  • You’re a problem-solver who understands how to mitigate risks and deliver successful outcomes.

Your Experience

At KPMG, we value diversity of thought, background, and experience. To be considered, your qualifications and experience may include:

  • Experience working on complex infrastructure programs or capital-intensive projects.
  • Background in consulting, advisory, head contractor, construction management, or government roles.
  • Proficiency in establishing and monitoring project schedules, cost estimates, and financial systems across the project lifecycle.
  • Understanding of project delivery from both the Owner’s team and Contractor perspectives.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard planning, cost, and project management tools.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Membership or certification with AIPM, Engineers Australia, or similar professional bodies is advantageous.
