KPMG’s Valuation Services team supports clients across all industries with robust, independent valuations. Valuations that support strategic decisions, whether for transactions, acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder resolutions, investments, or regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

Your Opportunity – Associate Director or Manager

We are expanding our valuation practice with opportunities for Manager or Associate Director level to professionals to join our Sydney team. In this role, you will:

  • Identify key performance indicators and value drivers across companies, industries, and transactions.
  • Deliver insightful valuation reports that articulate assumptions, methodologies, and findings.
  • Build, review, and interpret financial models for businesses and projects.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify issues and collaborate with colleagues across Deal Advisory.
  • Engage with clients to understand business performance, cash flow forecasts, and valuation drivers.
  • Leverage both traditional and innovative valuation methodologies to assess the value of assets, equity, and debt instruments.

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in business valuations (including Purchase Price Allocations / PPA, Intangible valuations, tax valuations etc.) or corporate finance within a corporate advisory or professional services environment.
  • Relevant degree (i.e. commerce, finance, economics) and ideally (but not essential) working towards or considering postgraduate studies (e.g., CA, CFA).
  • A commercial mindset, resilience, and a collaborative spirit, with a drive to innovate and improve how we work.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills, with the ability to distil complex information into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining financial models and delivering Excel-based financial analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels, including the ability to coach and mentor early professionals.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of delivering on multiple engagements simultaneously.
