Job Description

The Performance & Reward team are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join their friendly, multi-disciplinary team (our team includes people with backgrounds in finance, legal, tax, accounting, HR, management consulting).

In short, we help companies decide how to remunerate and incentivise their top people. This can be advising ASX50 Boards on what their CEO’s salary and incentive package should look like, or helping a tech start-up design and implement an employee share option plan that will allow them to attract talent and grow their business.

This team and this role’s goal is to accurately advise our clients, we must understand their business, their strategy, and the remuneration landscape (what is considered appropriate). This means gaining a breadth of knowledge across industries and taking the time to understand individual clients and their priorities. Our diversely skilled team enables us to deliver solutions that fit their commercial needs, while navigating legal, tax and accounting implications, and investor and community expectations.

Key areas where we support our clients include:

  • Design of executive and broad-based remuneration frameworks having regard to our client’s unique strategic, cultural and talent agendas as well as external expectations in respect of reward.
  • Assistance in the communication of remuneration frameworks both externally (i.e. Remuneration Reports and support with external engagement) and internally to participants.
  • Assistance with the implementation of variable reward frameworks (including tax and legal advice).
  • Undertaking regulatory reviews in financial services such as CPS 511 compliance and effectiveness reviews.
  • Support with WGEA reporting requirements.
  • Benchmarking of remuneration quantum executives and non-executive directors.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role would include:

  • Delivery of advice to clients and engagement management across multiple clients and projects.
  • Responsibility for day-to-day communication with clients (alongside the Engagement Partner or Director).
  • Managing input from consultants and senior consultants and providing technical input and review to ensuring high quality deliverables for our clients.
  • Mentoring of consultants and senior consultants (which could be both formal and informal).
  • Support with business development (which may include preparation of proposals, client updates and thought leadership).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
