Your Opportunity:
Forming part of CFO Advisory that sits within our Financial Risk Advisory team as a Manager, you will work with some of the country’s leading clients and the wider national team, in a positive, collaborative and team focused environment. This role is ideally suited to candidates who have prior experience in a Big 4 environment, and who are seeking an opportunity to enhance their problem-solving skills with deep finance and commercial advisory experience.
You will have the opportunity to work across different industries, on a range of complex client problems, including:
- Develop and enhance their financial and regulatory reporting control environment as part of the transformation of their finance function
- Design and implement enhanced operating models to embed clear accountability and ownership across the end-to-end organisation
- Building their finance technology and data strategy, including helping clients to embed AI into their finance processes, to promote effective decision making and efficient reporting.
- Implement robust data governance practices to build trust in data and support high quality reporting.
- Work in cross divisional teams on pre and post deal finance function set-up engagements, supporting our clients to realise value and synergies from their merger and acquisition activities.
- Technical accounting advice under IFRS / AASBs/US GAAP

Your Experience

- Relevant tertiary qualifications including CA or equivalent, coupled with relevant experience in audit, advisory or assurance in Professional Services or in the financial services sectors
- Strong understanding of the AASB framework and/or the Australian regulatory environment (e.g. ASIC, APRA)
- Prior experience in a finance function or leading a large complex finance projects (including understanding of financial systems and processes) is desirable
- Experience in leading teams and providing training and guidance to build performance
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications including CA or equivalent
