Our Technology Risk team advises clients on how to manage the risks of both delivering and managing technology, providing an independent view on emerging and existing technology and data risks and supporting clients to achieve continuous improvement. Our team supports clients to successfully identify, understand, manage, mitigate and oversee complex technology and data risks.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with a technology and / or data focus to support the more complex aspects of technology and data risk, particularly those involving enterprise, solution and data architecture, backend systems, and infrastructure. You will work closely with clients to assess and advise on the design and effectiveness of technical controls, including cloud architecture, data platforms, and integration layers, ensuring alignment with risk and compliance frameworks.

Your Opportunity

As a key member of KPMG's Enterprise Technology Risk team, you will support Boards and Executive Management to help them navigate their technology risks (for both existing and new technology) and assist them in achieving their strategic and operational priorities. Our client base includes mid-market organisations across utilities, education providers, healthcare providers, infrastructure, financial services, not-for-profits as well as Government and Local Government. As a Senior Consultant you will:

· Be a part of a leading team that advises high profile clients with operational and strategic technology and data initiatives focusing on risk management, governance, and review of processes and controls.

· Work alongside junior staff and management, locally and nationally, on client delivery and engagements and maintain strong relationships with clients during and post engagements.

· Provide technical knowledge, direction, coaching and training to colleagues through day-to-day engagement delivery.

· Support clients in managing and governing enterprise data by ensuring data quality, data compliance, confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This includes assessing the design and operative effectiveness of controls related to data management.

· Provide expertise in risk management to data owners, data stewards, and data custodians, as well as to data governance committees overseeing data practices within an organisation.

Your Experience

· 3–7 years of experience in solution delivery, data platform management or technology and / or data risk, with a strong technical focus.

· Demonstrated experience in IT General Controls, privacy, data governance / management or enterprise, solution, data architecture management.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

· Certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, CISA, CISSP, or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are highly desirable.
