A key part of this is our Social and Affordable housing, Strategy & Operations division, which works closely with all levels of governments, community and disability housing organisations, along with private developers and financiers, to define strategic direction, optimise partnership models, enhance service delivery, and drive transformative change, that results in increased availability and affordability of housing across Australia. We bring together deep public and community housing sector knowledge, housing and social impact policy experience, analytical rigour, and operational insight to deliver lasting impact.
Job Description
Forming part of the Social and Affordable Housing Strategy & Operations team, this Associate Director role will play a key role in leading strategic and operational transformation initiatives for clients delivering or seeking to deliver, more social, affordable and disability housing by:
Designing and delivering strategy projects – supporting organisations and agencies to define policy direction and implementation, enhance partnership models, improve operational efficiency, and respond to evolving housing demand.
Leading cross-functional teams – managing delivery across strategy, operations, and change, using your social and affordable housing practitioner and operational experience and knowledge while mentoring junior consultants and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Providing sector matter expertise, working across divisions, to ensure services are tailored, to aid the development of technology requirements and implementation, data maturity and governance and risk management services, for the social and affordable housing sector.
Building trusted client relationships – acting as a strategic advisor to senior public sector , private developer and community housing stakeholders, identifying opportunities for driving measurable outcomes.

Senior management experience in public or community housing organisations.
Background in strategy, consulting, public policy, and or operational improvement within the social, affordable or disability housing sector.
Previous operational leadership experience in delivering strategic and operational transformation in the social, affordable or disability housing sector.
Ability to structure and lead projects, manage stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes.
Strong knowledge of government frameworks, policy development processes, and social and affordable housing delivery.
Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in public administration, social care, business,property or related disciplines.
