Job Description
As a Cloud Solution Specialist (Associate Director) in KPMG’s Cloud & Engineering Practice, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving new business growth through pre-sales engagement and market-facing activities.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, helping clients unlock the full potential of cloud transformation. You’ll work closely with business development teams, solution architects, and client stakeholders to shape proposals, respond to RFPs, and position KPMG as a trusted advisor in the cloud space.
You will be responsible for the following;
- Act as the technical SME during client engagements, presentations, and workshops.
- Translate business requirements into compelling cloud solution proposals.
- Support bid responses, RFPs, and RFIs with detailed technical input.
- Identify sales triggers and opportunities for cloud transformation.
- Participate in client pitches, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and demonstrations to overcome objections and validate solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers (CIO, CTO, CFO) to influence strategic cloud adoption.
- Develop high-level architectures and migration strategies aligned to client objectives.
- Ensure proposed solutions meet performance, security, compliance, and cost optimisation requirements.
- Coordinate smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery teams post-contract signing.

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:
- Proven experience in cloud solution design (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Demonstrated success in pre-sales roles, including proposal development and client presentations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to align technical solutions with business drivers.
- Familiarity with sales cycles, bid processes, and market engagement strategies.
- Experience in consulting environments or working with enterprise clients across sectors like FSI, manufacturing, and higher education.
- Knowledge of automation tools, DevOps practices, and cloud security frameworks.
- Ability to create compelling thought leadership content and represent KPMG at industry events.
- Exposure to pricing models, cost optimisation strategies, and cloud economics.
Qualifications
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
