Job Description
KPMG’s Strategy & Value Creation team works with our clients to help them identify, quantify and execute initiatives that will help them maximise their untapped EBITDA potential.
Our people bridge the advisory relationship from pre-deal growth strategy to post-deal business transformation. We are leaders in the identification and quantification of value in transactions, the design and mobilisation of business transformation programs, and delivering value creation services that directly improve the quality of earnings and the associated enterprise value of our client’s business.
Everyday our people deliver services and engagements, such as:
- Growth strategy: Support organic and in-organic growth strategy development
- Value creation: Identifying and validating value creation opportunities in and out of the deal
- Commercial due diligence: Assessing markets, growth drivers, customer dynamics, the competitor landscape to identify deal risks and value upside potential.
- Operational due diligence: Assessing management business plans, the potential for operational efficiencies, identification of supply chain risks, determining the potential disruption and value upside from the use of AI and validating operating model value levers.
- Post-deal business transformation: Design post deal business transformation programs and initiatives to help our clients maximise the value potential from an acquisition
- Synergy evaluation: the quantification of the potential cost savings and revenue enhancements.
Your Opportunity – Associate Director
Our Strategy & Value Creation team is growing. We are seeking senior professionals to shape and deliver client impact across the deal lifecycle and beyond, playing a key role in the future success of the team by:
- Leading cross-functional teams to deliver value identification and quantification, transformation planning, and implementation roadmap.
- Owning client relationships and acting as the primary contact with senior stakeholders, ensuring delivery quality and commercial outcomes
- Driving business development initiatives, including proposal development, thought leadership, and closing opportunities
- Staying current on industry trends and anticipating impacts to client value propositions under different scenarios, with both near-term and long-term perspective.
- Crafting and delivering, influential leadership communications with clarity, confidence, and charisma
- Collaborating across functions and borders to deliver seamless client experiences in a global environment
- Coaching and developing team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and high performance
- Travel domestically and internationally, as required, to meet with clients, attend industry conferences, and support business development initiatives

Your Experience

- External consulting experience in a client-facing strategy discipline at a major strategy, boutique strategy, private equity, or Big 4 consulting firm and/or experience in a strategic cross-functional role at a corporate; or a combination of the two.
- Experience in Value Creation, corporate development, market sizing, business due diligence, operational and performance improvement, and other relevant strategy areas.
- Deep expertise in at least one specific industry or sector, including a robust understanding of the latest trends and the impact of emerging technologies such as generative AI on business models.
- High-level business acumen and the analytical rigour required to translate complex data and analysis into clear, actionable insights for C-suite stakeholders.
- A proven track record of originating and nurturing high-value client relationships, developing sophisticated proposals, and successfully closing commercial opportunities.
- Proficient in storytelling, with the capability to construct an engaging narrative that effectively communicates the client impact.
- Adaptability and cultural awareness to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and geographies.
- Strong professional proficiency in English.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; higher education degrees such as an MBA and/or professional certifications preferred.
