Job Description

Role Purpose

The Strategy Manager reports to the Director of Strategy and plays a key enablement and execution role within the Strategy function. The role supports the delivery of the firm’s trust and growth agenda by translating strategic priorities into structured, executable initiatives.

Working closely with the Director of Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and senior leaders across the business, the Strategy Manager helps ensure alignment across Global, Regional, South ASPAC and LEAP 2.0 priorities, while maintaining a strong focus on delivery, coordination and insight‑led execution.

This role is suited to an experienced Manager‑level professional who enjoys working at the intersection of strategy, execution and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to senior leadership rather than enterprise‑wide accountability.

This is an opportunity to work closely with senior leaders on high‑impact strategic priorities, while building deep experience in strategy execution within a large, complex organisation. The role offers visibility, learning and development at a manager level, without the expectation of senior leadership accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Enablement & Execution

  • Support the Director of Strategy in delivering the Strategy remit, acting as a key contributor to strategy development, planning and execution.
  • Translate strategic direction into clear workplans, milestones and deliverables that enable effective execution across the business.
  • Support alignment between Global, Regional and South ASPAC strategy agendas, ensuring priorities are clearly cascaded and progress is visible.

Strategic Analysis & Insight

  • Contribute to priority strategic themes underpinning LEAP 2.0, sustainable growth, trust and market differentiation.
  • Undertake structured analysis across areas such as:
    • Scaling existing and adjacent offerings
    • Evolving delivery models
    • Workforce models, capability and skills
    • The evolving impact of AI on the business
  • Conduct market, competitor and financial analysis to support data‑led decision making and recommendations.

Delivery Sprints & Governance

  • Support Director‑ and CSO‑sponsored 100‑day execution sprints, translating agreed priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Apply a consultative and collaborative approach to delivery, ensuring clarity on scope, dependencies and risks.
  • Track progress against agreed outcomes, highlighting insights, risks and interdependencies, and escalating issues where required.
  • Support the transition of initiatives back into Divisions for ongoing ownership and implementation.

Stakeholder & Executive Support

  • Support the preparation of high‑quality materials for National Executive Committee, Board and Partner forums, under the guidance of the Director and CSO.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, investment proposals and prioritisation recommendations.
  • Provide concise, insight‑led reporting to the Director of Strategy, with a focus on progress, outcomes and execution risks.

Strategic Initiatives & Investments

  • Provide analytical and coordination support to targeted strategic initiatives, including capability uplift programs and investment assessments, where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience operating at Manager or equivalent level in strategy, consulting, corporate development or internal advisory environments.
  • Strong strategic and commercial capability with a clear execution focus.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior leadership teams rather than owning enterprise‑wide strategy.
  • Ability to move confidently between ambiguity and structure, translating complex issues into clear outputs.
  • Strong written and executive communication skills, including the ability to prepare structured, high‑quality materials.
  • Highly collaborative team player with a curious mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
