As part of KPMG’s Infrastructure, Assets & Places group, our Commercial Advisory & Transactions team are industry leaders in providing specialist transaction, commercial, and financial advice to support investment decision making and the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Australia.
Our Energy Transition team within our Commercial Advisory and Transactions group advises corporates and governments on the energy and climate transition by providing commercial, financial, transaction and strategic advice to clients.
Our team is embedded within the Infrastructure, Asset & Places group and is differentiated by our experience across all aspects of the energy infrastructure life cycle and connection with KPMG’s global decarbonisation hub.
Job Description
Your Opportunity
We invite you to apply for a Senior Consultant opportunity based in Sydney to join our Energy Transition team, delivering transaction, commercial, and financial advice on some of Australia’s most significant energy projects.
Some key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Developing commercial and financial advice to support clients with their planning, procurement, and delivery of infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Developing procurement process documentation, particularly for highly interactive, complex, and multi-phase (e.g., EOI, RFP) procurement processes.
- Managing interactive tender processes including transaction management services such as electronic data room management, RFI management, and evaluation phase coordination.
- Supporting business cases and analysing procurement and delivery options for infrastructure delivery.
- Developing complex financial models to support investment decision making and procurement processes.
- Developing go-to-market transaction strategies and undertaking market sounding activities.
- Drafting and developing associated approvals documentation throughout procurement processes such as briefing papers, reports, memoranda.
- Stakeholder engagement coordinating multidisciplinary inputs (e.g. (engineering/technical, legal, environmental, stakeholder, health, and safety) into various transaction, procurement, and commercial documentation.
- Development of commercial documentation to support construction contracts including commercial principles, commercial framework, term sheets, and commercial contract schedules with an ability to convey complex ideas into simple concepts.

- A passion for delivering strategic, financial, transactional, or commercial advice in respect of major infrastructure projects, complex service procurement, strategy and/or transaction advisory.
- Knowledge of energy transition is desirable, but not essential.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Law, or other relevant disciplines.
