The Mid-Market & Private Deals team works closely with our clients through the entire M&A lifecycle to deliver due diligence, financial analytics, advice on transaction related accounting matters, reviewing Sale and Purchase Agreements, and Investigating Accountant Reports in relation to Initial Public Offerings. We work in a collaborative environment, giving you the opportunity to support our clients with sophisticated, expert and technology-enhanced M&A advice throughout the transaction.
Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Director or Director to join our growing Mid-Market Deals Advisory team in Melbourne.
This leadership role is ideal for an experienced Deals professional who will:
- Lead financial due diligence engagements end-to-end for high-growth clients
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders and clients
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the team
- Deliver high-impact outcomes across mid-market transactions
You will play a pivotal role in shaping client outcomes, mentoring talent, and strengthening KPMG’s presence in the mid-market Deals space.

Your Experience

- Extensive experience in transaction services / deals / financial due diligence
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills (Excel essential)
- Proven track record managing multiple engagements and deadlines
- Highly developed report writing and communication skills
- Experience working with mid-market or high-growth businesses (preferred)
- Strong stakeholder management across internal and external environments
Qualifications
- Degree in Commerce, Finance, or related discipline
- CA / CPA or equivalent professional qualification (preferred)
