We work with a range of clients across a range of sectors including large private and listed businesses, high net wealth, family groups, start-ups, early-stage high growth businesses, and Australian subsidiaries of multinational businesses.
Job Description
Your Opportunity
As a Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory work across a diverse client base.
You will:
- Lead income tax-focused advisory work across a range of areas, such as business/group restructures, mergers and acquisitions and international expansion
- Lead client engagements covering income tax issues such as capital gains tax rollovers, tax consolidation, tax loss utilisation, Division 7A, thin capitalisation and significant global entities
- Deliver income tax returns across a broad range of clients covering corporate, international and private groups, including companies and trusts
- Lead ATO reviews and audits for a diverse client base and collaborate with the ATO
- Deliver tax risk management and governance frameworks for businesses & groups
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely delivery of all client work
- Build and maintain client relationships through regular engagement and high-quality delivery
- Collaborate with the wider KPMG firm to deliver integrated client outcomes
- Support the development of junior team members and contribute to a positive team culture
- Contribute to broader team success and development through leading tax training and thought leadership initiatives
- Lead management of on-going team initiatives such as workflow management, process improvement and team building

To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience in leading income tax compliance and advisory engagements within a professional services or corporate environment
- Strong experience with delivering tax advisory focused engagements for a broad range of clients
- Strong exposure to a range of income tax issues across a broad range of clients, including corporate, international and private focused.
- Ability to stay up to date with tax legislation, ATO guidance and relevant case law and engagement in thought leadership with clients and team members
- Strong technical capability across tax compliance and advisory with a hands-on delivery focus
- Strong business writing skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a client-centric approach and an ability to successfully lead client engagement and relationships
- Excellent communicator and willingness to work collaboratively in teams
- Experience in mentoring and supporting junior team members
Qualifications
- CA / CPA (or equivalent) or currently studying towards qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
