Description and Requirements

The ‘Demand Planning Professional’ is part of the TSD People & Talent Operations Resource Management organization, and the role is responsible for leading a specific Delivery unit (Service Factory), and be a single point of ownership for demand planning and fulfilment.

The ‘Demand Planning Professional’ will be the Delivery Unit SPOC for People & Talent Operations organization, and drive strategy to ensure effective and optimized demand signal and fulfilment.

Below are key objectives as a function:

Business Partner

Be the Single Point of ownership for demand fulfilment, partnering the key delivery leads and stakeholder, aligned to a specific delivery unit.

Demand Planner

Review, assess, guide, and collaborate with the sales & pre-sales teams to drive the organization location strategy, and industry best practices for optimized service delivery. Ensure demand hygiene and demand accuracy, for the demand signal for fulfilment. Participate in deal reviews and create “pipeline” demand signals early as the deal is approved.

Workforce Planning

Drive a strategic workforce plan in collaboration with the Delivery Unit Leaders and respective offering leads, to provision a forward-looking half-yearly & full-year labor resource plan aligned to expected revenue & cost, with all the required attributes and hygiene to drive capacity and capability planning by the People & Talent Operations organization (Resource Management team).

This role will design, develop and enable the process, policy, procedure, methods, and measures to drive efficiency in the Strategy and Planning (Demand Planning) team.

Position Requirements

  • Demand Strategy & Planning team for the People & Talent Operations organization, be the SPOC for the Delivery Unit as a Business Partner, and drive demand planning to enable efficient and optimized fulfilment by the Resource Management team.
  • Work closely with the rest of the People and Talent Operations team, to drive fulfilment with people strategies, and identify insights early to avoid any revenue/delivery miss caused due to resource enablement. Proactive demand planning for anticipated attrition, pipeline demand, skill-gap and other insights, to enable on-time fulfilment.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Unit stakeholders for deal review cadence, base revenue demand planning, ensuring demand hygiene and strategic workforce planning.
  • Provide weekly operational updates to delivery unit stakeholders, People & Talent Operations leaders and TSD leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in IT Services organizations
  • 3-5 years of Demand Planning and/or Resource Management experience (or similar experience), with knowledge about IT services delivery.
  • High level of communication & presentation skills.
  • Excellent business acumen about service delivery operational models, resource management outcomes and KPI’s, and optimizing resources with innovative strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance, thrive in ambiguity.
  • Collaborative approach to meeting business objectives and ability to influence at all levels of matrixed organizations.

Preferred Requirements (nice to have)

  • Global exposure across multiple technology service areas
  • Experience working with global teams and conducting business internationally.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field
