Description and Requirements
As a Storage Technical Solutions Sales Specialist you will promote Lenovo infrastructure solutions and products, including block/file/AF array storage as well as software defined storage solutions. You will work with CTOs, IT decision makers, Lenovo pre-sales and sales teams, partners, and ISVs to bring value to our customers.
Your objectives will be in the development of Lenovo infrastructure solutions opportunities through the sales cycle, from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the solution architecture to bringing the opportunity up to a closing by demonstrating customer value.
What will You do (Roles & Responsibilities):
• Define and identify Data Management projects (on-prem, hybrid cloud, and in public cloud) by acting as a trusted advisor to the allocated territory
• Develop a pipeline of new Software defined Datacenter and/or Storage infrastructure business within aligned territories
• Grow and maintain customer relationships to Technical Director level and above
• Keep customers and partners up to date with new technologies, innovations, and advantages of a Lenovo ISG Storage / Data Management solutions, that are relevant to their industry
• Identify customer projects, undertand their technical requirements, and build effective and valuable solutions together with the wider product and technical community, sales teams, business partners
• Lead and/or provide Technical Input to Tenders/ RFIs/RFPs
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers, partners and teammates with your technical leadership and domain expertise on storage product trends, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in the DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces
What will you bring (Position Requirements):
• Experience supporting enterprise sales of Converged solutions (storage, networking, virtualization) or Storage solutions for large enterprise accounts
• Thorough understanding of architecture, design, and implementation of modern IT systems and cloud infrastructures
• Understanding of trends & technologies for storage and software defined storage solutions
• Ability to create and present Lenovo sales and technical solutions to senior-level clients and articulate the value proposition
• Awareness of the local storage competitive market, business partner objectives, and the customer industry environment
• Able to develop SAN/NAS/Object Storage storage architectures dependent on the application or workload requirements
• Fluent English language to communicate with Lenovo international teams and customers
• Demonstrable experience in any three of the following infrastructure technologies:
o Enterprise Storage, including Software defined Storage (e.g., Pure, Dell, NetApp)
o Vmware Virtualization (ESXi, vCloud Director, vRealize, vSAN)
o Hybrid Cloud Technologies and Cloud Hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
o All-Flash Storage
o Software defined and Object Storage
o Data Protection Technologies
