Global Sustainability Services Executive Director
Over the past decade, Lenovo has effectively implemented a strong ESG framework and robust sustainability programs. Lenovo’s ESG efforts focus on the circular economy, resilience, and helping to solve humanity’s greatest challenges with smarter services and technology. This determination has led us to implement Science Based Targets and take meaningful steps in energy management and sustainable design that are evident in our processes and products. Through Lenovo’s Global Sustainability Services, we aim to be a partner in helping our customers meet their own ESG goals.
As the Global Sustainability Services Executive Director, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and driving the success of the Sustainability Services Portfolio. As a leader and sustainability industry expert, you will advise the broader leadership team, ensuring Lenovo is well-positioned as a Sustainable IT solution provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and develop Lenovo internally and externally as a Sustainable IT solution provider.
- Drive the portfolio strategy for Sustainability Services.
- Leverage existing networks and develop the capabilities to expand.
- Develop a robust circular economy business.
- Follow and anticipate industry trends and technologies important to our customers.
- Foster a high performing and inclusive team culture, attracting top talent, developing leadership capabilities, and promoting professional growth.
- Align and develop the Sustainability Services portfolio with our corporate ESG strategy.
- Build relationships across Lenovo’s business units to identify ESG/Sustainability opportunities.
- Validate, incubate, and develop projects and initiatives for Sustainability Services globally.
- Support services business development across all markets.
- Lead Sustainability Services global programs, communications, and branding.
- Continuously improve our structure, processes, and methods.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans.
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in a fast paced global corporate environment.
- Proven expertise in leading diverse global teams.
- 5 or more years of experience working in Sustainability with a focus on IT Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
- Highly skilled in leading an effective Business Management System (BMS) and delivering key business results.
- Excellent understanding of ESG-related topics, measurements, and trends.
- Outstanding communicator experienced in creating and delivering executive presentations.
- Excellent understanding of circular economy drivers and a broad range of sustainability metrics.
- Experience consulting or contributing to ESG projects in a corporate setting.
- Experience working successfully with global teams.
- Outstanding analytics and strategic thinking skills.
- Highly experienced in developing multiyear plans, projects, and roadmaps to turn strategy into operation.
- Ability to draft communications for various audiences.
- Experience collaborating with numerous and diverse stakeholders within a complex organization.
- Sustainability/Circular Economy credentials.
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture.
