Description and Requirements

The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for defining and executing the supply strategy for Lenovo Brazil to meet the demand across a diverse product portfolio, including PCs, Phones, Tablets, Workstations, and Servers produced at two different plants in São Paulo state. The role requires ensuring cost competitiveness, compliance with local legislation for tax benefits, and maintaining strong relationships with over 30 direct local suppliers and 100+ indirect international suppliers.

Key responsabilities

Supplier Management

Direct: Oversee and develop relationships with over 30 local suppliers to ensure compliance with local legislation and optimize tax benefits.

Indirect: Supervise and coordinate with global suppliers, ensuring partnership with local suppliers and smooth import of parts and components.

Supplier Development: Identify and develop new suppliers or partnerships to enhance local sourcing benefits.

Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management

Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations and manage legal contracts with suppliers to safeguard Lenovo's business interests.

Sourcing Strategy: Analyze market trends and adjust sourcing strategies to meet both local and global needs, ensuring competitiveness and efficiency.

Commodities Management: Oversee the management of commodities, negotiating favorable terms and conditions to achieve the best cost-performance ratio.

Operational Excellence

Digital Transformation: Leverage digital tools and a digital mindset to drive process improvements and innovation in procurement activities.

Supply Chain Optimization: Ensure the optimization of the supply chain to maintain smooth operations, reduce business risks, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular supplier evaluations to assess strengths and weaknesses, driving excellence across key metrics (Cost, Technical, Quality, Supply, and ESG).

Leadership and Team Management

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the procurement team, fostering professional development and a results-oriented culture.

Continuous Improvement: Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, focusing on innovation and efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and mitigate risks, ensuring seamless business operations.

Technical Skills:

Advanced SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

Strong proficiency in digital procurement tools and systems.

Solid understanding of local and global IT industry trends.

Advanced contract negotiation and legal acumen.

Soft Skills:

Advanced English proficiency. Mandarin or other language skills are a plus.

Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.

Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Global Supply Chain Expertise:

Extensive experience in overseeing global supply chain logistics.

Strong knowledge of ESG principles and sustainable procurement practices.

Ability to manage and reduce inventory levels effectively.

Other Requirements:

Travel: Availability for national and international travel.

Work Environment: This role does not require electronic timekeeping and involves managing a team.
