Description and Requirements

As the Global Lead of Social and Community Marketing for Legion Gaming, you will drive the brand’s global presence through innovative social media and community engagement strategies. Your mission is to strengthen brand identity, build customer loyalty, and cultivate an active, vibrant community. You’ll lead global campaigns, forge strategic partnerships with influencers, and manage a team of social media professionals, ensuring Legion Gaming's presence thrives across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.

Job Description:

Focus Areas:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Craft and execute a killer global social media and community strategy that screams Legion Gaming.
  • Roll out campaigns that captivate diverse gaming audiences, drive engagement, and grow our fanbase.

Community Building and Management:

  • Be the heartbeat of the gaming community, forging and nurturing relationships with influencers, content creators, and die-hard fans.
  • Design and run community programs that inspire participation, engagement, and unwavering loyalty.

Content Development and Distribution:

  • Spearhead the creation of epic, share-worthy content across TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, YouTube, and more.
  • Tailor content to each platform and audience, maximizing reach and making waves.

Brand Advocacy and Influencer Partnerships:

  • Scout and collaborate with top-tier influencers and brand advocates to amplify Legion Gaming’s presence and street cred.
  • Drive influencer marketing campaigns that skyrocket brand awareness and bring in legions of new fans.

Performance Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on the success of social media and community initiatives. Use data to level up our strategy.
  • Turn insights into action, continuously optimizing and innovating our marketing efforts.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Team up with product marketing, PR, creative, and customer support to ensure our social and community efforts are in perfect harmony.
  • Work with regional marketing teams to tweak global strategies for local markets, making sure they hit the mark.

Crisis Management and Communication:

  • Develop and deploy crisis communication plans to tackle any issues that pop up on social media or within the community.
  • Be the voice of the brand in sticky situations, ensuring timely and on-point responses.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a squad of top-notch social media and community managers. Create a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Provide continuous training and growth opportunities to keep the team ahead of the curve.

Global Partnerships:

  • Forge and manage strategic partnerships with AAA game titles, esports teams/titles, silicon and OS alliance partners, and more.
  • Leverage these partnerships to boost Legion's brand visibility and create killer co-marketing opportunities.

Support New Product Launches:

  • Partner with product marketing and development teams to create buzzworthy social media and community engagement plans for new product launches.
  • Ensure launch campaigns are coordinated, generate hype, and drive adoption among target audiences.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in social media and community management, ideally in gaming or consumer brands.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and executing global social media strategies.
  • Strong track record in influencer partnerships and content creation across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making and crisis management on social media.
  • Ability to adapt strategies for different global markets.
  • Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
