Description and Requirements

Join our Lenovo Sustainability Services Organization that focuses to reduce the impact of products on the environment by applying business intelligence to maximize reuse and recovery across the product lifecycle. In addition, the Sustainability Services team works with the cross functional organizations to maximize the valuation and extend the lifecycle of assets to provide incremental residual value to Lenovo’s Customers.

We are looking for an EMEA Circular Economy Operational Specialist who will work closely with the Lenovo sales team, Project Management Office, Business Transformation, Product Offering Development, and the customer to ensure Lenovo operates and delivers capabilities to support the EMEA circular economy initiative.

This position will evaluate market trends for various products to develop additional routes to market of products entering the next life cycle of that asset. In addition, this position will have a deep understanding of the secondary market to maximize the valuation of products. The Circular Economy Operational Specialist will be responsible for developing and communicating to the various sales organizations and cross functional teams a creative circular economy solution for customers to drive positive value-add, return-on-investments, and lower the total cost of ownership.

This position will need to learn and utilize Lenovo systems to be able to track, request, monitor and negotiate the supply chain of Lenovo products to ensure fulfilment of 2nd life requests and orders. With a collaborative mindset and a “can do” problem solving approach, you will be key in developing and growing this market space with the wider Lenovo teams.


What You will do


  • Collaborate with internal teams analyze customer processes and environments and provide circular economy expertise and overall solution recommendations to enable the next life cycle of various products.
  • Creates business case collateral to be leveraged to assist product offering development.
  • Educate customers and internal stakeholders on circular economy services. Engage as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on circular economy solutions specifically market pricing.
  • Challenge existing processes to ensure delivery of the best solution for the customer.
  • Governs the go to market strategy of product entering the next life cycle.
  • Collaborate with the Business and Digital Transformation teams on IT development needed to launch new capabilities to support pricing and market trends.
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of certifications, technology, tools and toolsets in the industry.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or Business equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in solution development, business development, project management and/or services operations experience.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, electronic product end of life management.
  • Experience with process improvements across multiple regions within an organization.
  • Vendor management and running an effective business management system.
  • Strong ability to produce, leverage and interpret big data sets and operationalize for decision making.
  • Fluent English. Highly articulate and professional in both oral and written communication, as well as presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills to achieve desired result.
  • Strong excel skills, understanding/experience of SAP an advantage
