Description and Requirements

As the UX R&D Program Manager, you will have an essential role in guiding UX-led R&D programs at Lenovo. Your passions for customer value, best-in-class experiences and operational excellence will help UX teams collaborate, steadily hone their approach, and innovate more effectively.

About the Next UX team

As part of the Lenovo Experience Group (LXG), Next UX is an innovative research and design team at Lenovo. We hunt new UX solutions that Lenovo could deliver over the next 2- 4 years by exploring intersections between design, technology, and user value. We endeavor to uncover the best problems to solve and craft new experiences that properly solve them. The team works across a broad set of focus areas for Lenovo including the Future of PC UX, Evolution of Workplace Collaboration, UX of AI in SaaS, Enterprise Digital Experiences and Services. We seek someone who is passionate about aiming innovation at customer outcomes, lives & breaths all things experience and understands the art of cross-functional collaboration.

You will:

  • Be an operational leader for Next UX.
  • Manage & guide strategy for the teams’ program & resource planning.
  • Organize workstreams, deliverable timing and stakeholder engagement for our largest annual programs.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to administer annual planning, project sizing and work queuing.
  • Drive improvement in internal collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and program management.
  • Manage other PM-roles on the Next UX team and advise UX SMEs in their approach to PM tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience with UX program and project management
  • 8+ years of experience with UX and offering development
  • Experience moving from discovery research to PoC projects to staging offerings for development
Preferred Qualifications
  • A passion for user experience (UX) and aiming innovation at customer value.
  • Propensity to advocate for UX & customer-focused processes.
  • Strong practice with project management tools & habits. We use Miro, Figma and AirTable.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
  • A desire to tackle complex problem areas and simplify to actionable solutions.
  • Desire to grow & nurture team culture.
