Description and Requirements

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Portfolio Manager to oversee and optimize the management of our project and product portfolios. As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex programs, driving collaboration, and fostering innovation across teams dedicated to developing and delivering AI solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy and Alignment: Assist in the develop and maintenance of a comprehensive portfolio strategy that aligns with the company’s objectives and generative AI vision.
  • Performance Management: Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring key projects deliver on time, within scope, and budget while achieving desired outcomes.
  • Prioritization and Governance: Lead portfolio prioritization efforts, working with stakeholders to evaluate projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess risks across the portfolio, recommending mitigation strategies to ensure long-term success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executives, program managers, and other leaders to ensure alignment of portfolio activities with organizational goals.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage portfolio budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring optimal ROI for investments.
  • Knowledge Management – Collate and publish key documentation on the Portfolio Offerings
  • Sales and Pre-Sales Enablement – Develop and over see the sales enablement of AI Portfolio Offerings throughout Lenovo.
  • Innovation Pipeline: Oversee the evaluation of new generative AI ideas and initiatives, balancing innovation with operational feasibility.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine portfolio management processes and tools to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2-5 years in portfolio, program, or project management, preferably within a technology or AI-driven organization.
  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets to inform decision-making and drive portfolio optimization.
  • Tools Proficiency: Experience with portfolio management tools (e.g., Planview, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and agile methodologies.
  • Technology: Exposure to AI technologies such as Nvidia, Microsoft, or Databricks is a plus. Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Certifications: Portfolio management certifications such as PfMP, PgMP, or similar are highly desirable.
