The Commercial Demand Planner role is a critical role for Lenovo North America Demand Management and Collaborative Planning Organization. This individual contributor role will be primarily responsible for managing demand plan of assigned commercial PC products. This person will also be responsible to position Lenovo North America for superior sales achievement quarterly and yearly. The Demand Planner will interface with various cross functional teams including Product Management, Business Management, WW Supply Planning, Global Supply Chain and Finance in order to achieve planning accuracy goals and quarterly targets.
- Generate monthly and quarterly demand plans for assigned PC products that meet Lenovo’s financial objectives.
- SBB & Attach Rate Planning for assigned PC products
- Collaborate with Product and Business Management team on product mix assumptions and growth rates by segment.
- Drive seamless product transitions while minimizing product gaps outs and obsolete inventory.
- Consider distribution inventory and sell through projections in the forecast.
- Plan and implement contingency plans to mitigate supply challenges or unforcasted demand upside.
- Identify improvement opportunities in reducing and managing parts liability.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and identify new ways of utilizing data and statistical methods to improve the forecast accuracy.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain
• 2+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations
Preferred Requirements:
• Skilled in MS Excel, Power BI, SQE & database management
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with limited supervision
• Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be a self-starter, a strong team player and have a disciplined work ethic.
• Prior experience in supply planning, demand planning, forecasting, inventory management or manufacturing operations is a plus.
