Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our North America ISG Field Sr Manager team to provide technical thought leadership to customers, field sales teams, and Lenovo leadership. As a North America ISG Field technologist, you will drive sales within a region, increase Lenovo brand visibility across the region and provide technical consultation on Lenovo products and solutions to both external customers and partners as well as internal stakeholders. The North America ISG Field Sr Manager helps to provide technical oversight in complex opportunities, explain complex technologies, evangelize Lenovo solutions, and identify strategic partnership opportunities. This role focuses on enabling customers, and Lenovo’s sales teams, to create an organizational technology vision, strategy, and tactical road map to achieve desired business outcomes.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical thought leadership to Lenovo, partners, and customers across a wide range of topics, including, but not limited to:
- Intel and AMD Compute platforms
- File, Block and Object Storage platforms
- Virtualization technologies, including VMWare, Nutanix, and Hyper-V
- Enterprise Applications such as MS SQL, Citrix Xen App / Xen Desktop, SAP
- AI – ML, DL & Generative
- Ability to lead and / or work within a technical team to articulate and architect complex hybrid cloud solutions, infrastructure modernization scenarios and strategic technology transformations
- Ability to lead workshops and evangelize the business and technical value of solutions across the Lenovo portfolio to both large and small audiences composed of customers and partners, with roles from the C-suite to engineering
- Provide “Voice of the Customer” field guidance and feedback to Lenovo product development, leadership and partners
- Provide training, mentoring, and enablement to pre-sales sales and technical teams on product portfolio, industry trends, disruptions, and innovations
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and executives
- Collaborate with Marketing, Brand and Education organizations to craft, evaluate and roll out relevant solutions, sales plays and marketing and enablement collateral
- Identify, define, and drive strategic partnership opportunities
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years' of IT experience in the technology industry either as technology provider or end user
- 8+ years' of experience architecting data center systems with a focus on end-to-end solutions, from the data center to the end user.
Preferred Requirements:
- Proven ability to work in complex matrix organization and ability to motivate and influence in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to travel up to 70–80% of the time
- Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail
