The Special Bid Pricing team serves as trusted pricing advisors dedicated to supporting special bids with a focus on maximizing profit and revenue growth. This role is partially tailored for assigned Worldwide (WW) accounts, requiring close collaboration with account owners, Global Account (GA) sales, and supporting teams across all GEOs.
The position is integral to the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), working hand-in-hand with sales teams, channels, Inside Sales Support, and Profit Management.
As a member of this team, you will act as a guardian of the P&L and an Opportunity Consultant for the sales function. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing bid reviews and commercial sign-offs within the assigned delegation matrix, ensuring that both sales and profit objectives are met for Lenovo.
This role not only emphasizes strong analytical and strategic skills but also requires exceptional collaboration across global teams. You will be pivotal in driving Lenovo's success in competitive bidding scenarios, ensuring that our pricing strategies align with broader business objectives while supporting assigned WW accounts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sign-Off: Authorize all deals within your delegation level, while escalating any requiring further approval to the Profit Manager or CFO.
- Customer Requirement Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer requirements alongside sales teams, ensuring the selection of appropriate pricing methodologies to maximize profit for each opportunity. This includes assessing price validity, rollout assumptions, and route-to-market concepts.
- Profit Maximization: Leverage a detailed understanding of the component cost environment and roadmap to guide sales on the most economically advantageous offerings, thereby maximizing bid profitability.
- Commercial Responses: Provide sales teams with accurate responses to commercial inquiries found in customer tenders and Lenovo response documents, addressing issues like currency fluctuations or commodity clauses that protect Lenovo from unforeseen market developments.
- Risk Review Collaboration: Collaborate with Profit Managers and the Legal team to ensure that all non-standard deals undergo a thorough risk review, with results duly factored into pricing decisions. This includes evaluating special payment terms and delivery commitments with penalty clauses.
- Financial Modeling: Develop financial models for opportunities using internal data from reporting tools, applying relevant cost adjustments to reflect accurate pricing strategies.
- Due Diligence in Price Setting: Ensure that price setting is approached with due diligence and is based on known market requirements or precedents, enhancing the likelihood of successful bids.
- Innovative Solutions: Think creatively to identify innovative strategies that increase profitability and win rates, fostering a proactive approach to sales processes.

Base gross monthly salary from 2000 EUR , depending on experience + variable part 12% of your annual earnings
