Lenovo’s IDG AI Ecosystem Team is seeking a thoughtful and principled Sr. Manager of AI Ethics and Governance to ensure our AI innovations are developed and deployed responsibly. In this role, you will shape Lenovo’s global approach to AI governance, embedding ethical standards into the lifecycle of AI-driven products and services across our PC, tablet, and mobile device portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Lenovo’s AI ethics and governance frameworks, policies, and review processes.
- Partner with product, legal, security, and engineering teams to assess AI features and ensure they meet standards for fairness, transparency, privacy, and safety.
- Build and chair internal AI ethics working groups; facilitate cross-functional collaboration and training.
- Monitor regulatory developments and translate global AI policy trends into practical guidance for product teams.
- Provide oversight and risk assessments for AI models and data usage in Lenovo’s consumer and enterprise offerings.
- Engage externally with industry partners, standard bodies, and academic experts to help shape best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in technology policy, AI governance, data ethics, or responsible AI within a global organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, data governance, legal or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, model deployment practices, and emerging regulatory landscapes.
- Experience designing and operationalizing governance frameworks across complex product ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for building trustworthy, human-centered AI experiences.
The base salary budgeted range for this position is $140k - 190K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
