Description and Requirements

Employer: Lenovo Japan, LLC
Work location: Akihabara UDX (Tokyo); (3 onsite and 2 remote days in a week could be applicable)
Smoking: Not allowed in the office, but smoking room is available in 5th floor of Akihabara UDX
Employment condition: Permanent Staff (Probation period: 6 months)
Expected salary: Depending on the current salary and experience, we would make our decision
Overtime allowance: Not applicable
Working hours: 9:00-17:45 (Rest time: 1 hour (12:00-13:00))
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday, national holidays, year-end holiday, established anniversary day, special holiday, and compensatory holiday

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the solution architecture across multiple ServiceNow domains including ITSM, CSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM, and Security Operations (SecOps).
  • Experience in integration and Service Portal is MUST to have for this role.
  • Ability to debug issues, bugs and provide technical support to the functions built within the platform
  • Ability to code and configure is MUST for this role
  • Work closely with pre-sales team to understand the technology requirements from SOW and provide/validation solutions to meet business need.
  • Experience in designing architecture diagram, data modelling and writing technical specification
  • Define and enforce ServiceNow platform best practices, development standards, and technical architecture principles.
  • Conduct code and configuration reviews, ensuring alignment with enterprise design patterns and compliance standards.
  • Serve as a technical design authority, contributing to and chairing architecture/design review boards.
  • Guide solution development through early-stage delivery, ensuring reusability and performance.
  • Mentor and train technical leads and developers; uplift platform knowledge and capability across teams.
  • Collaborate with Offering, Engineering, and Delivery leads to bridge GTM vision with technical feasibility.
  • Evaluate new ServiceNow platform capabilities and adjacent AI/workplace technologies for strategic adoption.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8–12 years of ServiceNow experience, including 3+ years in architecture or solution leadership roles
  • Strong hands-on knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM, and Security Operations (SecOps)
  • Proven ability to lead solution design workshops, build technical blueprints, and translate business needs into scalable architectures
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide), REST/SOAP APIs, and CMDB/data modeling
  • Fluent in English and Japanese communication

Certifications:

  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Minimum 2 domains
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
  • Architect Path Certification (preferred)
  • ITIL v4 Foundation – Preferred
  • CTA (Certified Technical Architect) – Highly desirable but not mandatory
