We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and tech-savvy Account Executive to join our education team, focused on both PC and Enterprise solutions. This role is your chance to make a meaningful impact in the South African education sector by enabling digital transformation from the classroom to the data center.
As the Education Relationship Account Manager, you will lead Lenovo’s engagement with the South African education sector—supporting digital transformation initiatives across Basic and Higher Education. You will work closely with public sector bodies, provincial departments, universities, and channel partners to expand Lenovo’s presence and provide end-to-end education technology solutions that improve learning outcomes.
This role is critical to Lenovo’s mission to empower learners, teachers, and institutions with the tools they need for success in a digital world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a national education-focused sales strategy across Basic Education, TVET colleges, and universities. Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with Lenovo sales, product, and channel teams to drive long-term engagement.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders: DBE, DHET, provincial departments, and school districts. Align Lenovo solutions with government digital learning and infrastructure goals.
- Position Lenovo as a trusted education innovation partner. Lead and participate in ICT forums, tenders, and pilot projects promoting digital inclusion.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in ICT or EdTech sales and a proven track record of achieving targets, with a strong focus on public sector or education customers
- Deep understanding of national education priorities and digital transformation efforts in both Basic and Higher Education
- Experience working with or through channel/reseller partners
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, ICT, or equivalent
- Willingness to travel within South Africa
