Workstation / Gaming Technical Quality Engineer
Lenovo Workstations provide powerful solutions to drive productivity, innovation, and design excellence in key vertical segments such as Engineering/Architecture/CAD, Media & Entertainment, Science, Medical, Energy, and Finance.
To maintain our leadership and compete in this aggressive marketplace, we are looking to enhance our team with additional talent. We are currently seeking an engineer to drive Workstation and Gaming product execution with focus on development and customer quality. This position will work within a team of cross functional members to manage worldwide quality execution starting from initial product development through manufacturing enablement and supporting field issues.
What You'll Do:
Product Launches:
- Lead the Quality Management Process to identify and manage Workstation and Gaming related Quality risks.
- Build and maintain the graphics Quality plan.
- Sample review and issue Quality approval on BIS card related parts.
Customer Experience:
- Own the voice of the customer deep dive and take actions to improve customer satisfaction
Quality Performance Management
- Monitor quality performance through development, launch and volume production
Quality Issue and Process Management
- Solve manufacturing quality issues and field complaints escalated from customer service
- Co-work with manufacturing site and vendor to perform parts RMA
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive suppliers on part issue
- Drive close loop, lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
Quality Audit
- Audit manufacturing sites and related suppliers
- Support regular quality reviews with suppliers
Digitalization & AI
- Innovatively pursue digitalization and AI application opportunity in Quality management
Basic Qualifications:
- Engineering Bachelor’s or equivalent degree
- 5+ years of technical experience
- Experience with supplier management
- Skilled at using Microsoft Office applications (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Very good interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Knowledge/background in the PC/Workstation industry, including hardware & software
As a global company, Lenovo has relationships with suppliers and teams throughout the world. This position may require morning/evening meetings which occur outside normal working hours, and candidates must be agreeable to a flexible work schedule.
This position will be working onsite at our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Candidates that are already local to Raleigh, NC are preferred.
