Lenovo’s Services and Solutions group (SSG) is seeking a motivated and organized Demand Gen and Insights and Optimization Manager to lead our transition from traditional marketing tactics into a fully modern, data-driven demand generation engine. This role builds the foundational infrastructure to empower teams across geographies and business units to launch high-impact demand programs within a consistent and proven process. A key aspect of the role includes partnering closely with Sales to define MQL/SQL criteria and conversion goals, enabling seamless handoffs and accelerated revenue impact. This leader will continuously assess marketing performance, making data-driven optimizations and translating insights into executive-level recommendations. They will also serve as a critical connector between Campaigns, Events, Digital, Brand, Product Marketing, and Sales Leadership, fostering collaboration and driving innovation. This individual will develop and operationalize demand gen process frameworks, Geo investment plans and geo level execution to ensure consistency and measurable outcomes. Mastery of data and tools such as Dynamics, Marketo, and DOMO is essential to power execution, visibility, and growth. This person must thrive under pressure, be self-driven, and understand that ambiguity, speed, and high expectations are part of the job.
The location of this role can be flexible, but preferred to be in Raleigh/Durham, NC in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Optimization:
- Work with the Geo’s to build and implement demand generation frameworks, including geo-specific investment plans and execution processes
- Help Geo’s build a full-funnel demand generation strategy that is trackable
- Refine and implement lead lifecycle, scoring, routing, and nurturing that is consistent
- Work closely with Geo lead development teams to ensure all leads are BANT qualified and evaluated for their services and solutions potential
- Build global business review cadence to cascade results and progress of demand gen efforts to senior executives
- Suggest process changes, trainings and marketing tools that will drive success (MAP, CRM, BI tools, intent data platforms)
- Implements operational improvements like faster turnaround time from lead score to seller engagement and sales activity monitoring
- Own the executional support to drive consistent, scalable marketing and enablement around demand gen efforts
- Evaluate customers for account intent alongside ABM team, and monitor top 10 customers through demand lifecycle
- Support cross tactic consistency and readiness for tracking
- Works closely with business managers and sales to drive accountability on lead follow up
- Build and implement demand generation frameworks, including geo-specific investment plans and execution processes
- Promote best-in-class CRM usage and support sales training to enhance marketing integration
- Ability to work in a complex and matrixed organization
Demand Gen Insights (Data):
- Analyze multi-channel marketing campaign performance (email, digital, events, web) to deliver actionable insights and improve ROI
- Track key funnel metrics—including MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, pipeline influence, and velocity—to inform marketing tactic optimization
- Build and maintain dashboards using tools like Power BI, DOMO, Qlik, or Tableau to support data-driven decision-making across marketing and sales
- Partner with Geo lead development teams and Marketing Ops to refine lead scoring, attribution models, and performance benchmarks
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across CRM, Anaplan, etc and manage lead source tracking and troubleshoot discrepancies
- Monitor account-level engagement and pipeline contribution across geographies and segments
- Measure content and touchpoint effectiveness throughout the buyer journey to understand contribution to pipeline
- Provide performance readouts and insights to Marketing, Sales, and Geo stakeholders on a regular cadence
- Train sales and regional marketing teams on dashboard usage and how to interpret and communicate marketing impact
- Inform strategic planning by identifying historical trends, performance gaps, and new opportunities
Qualifications
- 7+ years in B2B marketing with deep experience in demand generation
- Proven success building modern demand gen programs from scratch or major transformation
- Proficiency in marketing analytics, attribution, and funnel performance metrics
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
- Experience with ABM, intent data, and content-led campaigns a strong plus
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across functions
- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment
- Enjoys shifting priorities, tight timelines, and high visibility projects
