Description and Requirements


Responsible for nurturing and managing the Solutions & Services Group (SSG) relationship with customers throughout the lifecycle of a deal. You will orchestrate solutions that align with customer needs and showcase the best of Lenovo’s SSG offerings.

This is a client-facing sales role requiring industry sales experience, consultative engagement skills, and the ability to close new business. We are looking for a high-performing acquisition seller with a proven track record to elevate their career and drive our solutions and services business forward.

The SSE will also evaluate customer opportunities presented through RFPs/RFQs or engagements from the Services and Hardware Sales teams, managing the sales engagement process to meet customer requirements. Lenovo’s solutions portfolio includes Services, Hardware, Software, Security, ISVs, and additional third-party services from Lenovo business partners.

Responsibilities & Skills

Sales Expertise:

  • Collaborate across multiple organizations, including sales, finance, service delivery, customers, and business partners, leading all aspects of the services sales cycle.
  • Define a framework to manage long-term strategy and forecasting by effectively using Microsoft Dynamics and other reporting tools to track and meet key sales metrics.
  • Develop, implement, and execute an effective sales strategy to achieve sales goals.

Account Engagement:

  • Work within a dedicated territory or segment in collaboration with the Client Manager, who leads the account, and, if applicable, the Service and Solution Domain Specialist (SSDS).
  • Partner with the Client Manager to develop and execute account plans and customer engagement strategies that drive sales success.
  • Foster C-level relationships and act as a trusted advisor to customers.

Portfolio Acumen:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of end-to-end strategic portfolios, including Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS), Hybrid Cloud, Migrations, SAP HANA, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Managed Services.
  • Assess customers' business and IT challenges to position the most appropriate Lenovo solutions.
  • Engage in discussions on complex solutions, including software, Device as a Service (DaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

Proven ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary environments:

  • Close interaction with Client Managers and Sales Representatives across diverse commercial profiles.
  • Strong capability to clearly and effectively transfer knowledge
  • Tailoring the approach to meet the needs of Sales Representatives with varying levels of expertise and specialization.

Commercial assessments Development:

  • Scoping proposals in response to RFI/RFP processes, and conducting competitive market analysis.
  • High adaptability and strong commitment to continuous learning
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Communication across all organizational levels, with a particular focus on delivering impactful and results-driven presentations.
